| ACHA Selects Storm Through Europe Undefeated! The Best of the ACHA D2 Answer the Call Going 5-0 Across the Ocean! January 5, 2008 It became clear from the second that the players started arriving to the Albany County Hockey Facility in Albany, New York on December 26, 2007, that being a part of the ACHA D2 Select Team was going to be a serious responsibility. When every player walked into the locker room at their practice facility, they were overwhelmed with the preparation that went into setting up for their arrival. | Harrow Sports Joins the Selects Team D2 Selects Announce Harrow Sports as Official Equipment Supplier December 29, 2008 It was announced today that Harrow Sports will serve as the ACHA D2 Selects Team official equipment supplier for the 2009-2010 European Tour. The Director of Hockey Operations for Harrow Sports, Todd Johnson commented by saying, "Harrow Sports is proud to be the exclusive equipment sponsor for the ACHA D2 Select Team travelling to Europe in December of 2009. | Follow the D2 Selects Across the Ocean All Games Will Be Broadcasted Live! December 28, 2009 As the ACHA D2 Selects head overseas, the anticipation for the best Division 2 of the ACHA has to offer has been intensely growing. The team successfully departed New York on December 27, 2009 en route for Genova, Switzerland where the team will be based for a majority of the trip. With that said, all games will be broadcasted live via Web Sports Radio. | D2 Selects Application Form Released Prospective Players Must Submit Applications January 19, 2011 Division 2 (D2) Vice President Paul Hebert & Commissioner Mike Radakovich are pleased to announce that the ACHA will be sending a D2 Select Team to Europe to play a series of games against top teams from several European countries. This trip is tentatively planned from December 27, 2011 - January 6, 2012. The team will be selected based on player applications and evaluations of player performance during ACHA games as well as the 2011 ACHA All-Star Challenge. | D2 Selects Announce 2011-2012 Team Roster The Best of the ACHA to Lead the Selects Overseas! October 23, 2011 ACHA DII Commissioner, Mike Radakovich and ACHA DII Vice President, Paul Hebert, announced the 2011-2012 ACHA DII Select Team roster today. Twenty-one players representing eighteen ACHA Division II colleges and universities will tour Europe from December 27, 2011 to January 5, 2012 to play five games against teams from Austria, Germany, Slovenia and Croatia. | Bob Brinkworth to Lead D2 Selects Behind the Bench Coach Brinkworth Earns Head Coaching Position January 19, 2011 Returning back to the ACHA D2 Selects coaching staff for the 2011-2012 Tour is Bob Brinkworth, but this time as the Head Coach. Brinkworth commented on being selected to lead the coaching staff of the ACHA D2 Selects by saying, “I feel honored to be selected as the head coach by the ACHA, and look forward to the selection process and making the trip to Europe with the strongest team possible.” After a successful stint behind the bench during the last trip overseas, Brinkworth has been asked to take the reins of the D2 Selects as the head coach.... click here for full story |
